Head Server - Olina Tokyo
Groupe Tamara, a hospitality group headquartered in France and already present in Europe and in the US, is currently expanding into Japan by opening Olina, a gastronomic restaurant with French chef Olivier Garcia.
Olina is located in close proximity of Azabujuban, Tokyo, and features French-inspired cuisine made using local ingredients and techniques, and an eclectic selection of European craft wines.
We are hiring a Head Server, in charge of delivering a world class experience to our customers, and incarnating Olina’s values and quest for quality.
Key responsibilities
Deliver the service in the restaurant as Head Server at high standards of quality and elegance. Together with the Head Chef, the Head Server is responsible with the global experience delivered to the customers.
Participate to the mise en place along with the rest of the team
Manage bookings, contact customers for confirmations and to check dietary restrictions
Support and train the other staff from the service team if needed
Manage inquiries regarding private events (first response, discussion, quote, closing)
Participate in organising events and happenings (wine tastings, collaborations with other participants from hospitality or lifestyle, etc)
Restock the wines as needed.
Experience & Skills
At least 2 years experience as server in Japan, preferably in an upscale environment
Excellent customer relationship and commercial skills
Integrity and good internal communication skills
Native (or at least Fluent) Japanese language and conversational English
A genuine interest in wines (especially craft wines) is a plus.
