Travelense Privacy Policy

Travelense does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on developer servers. There is no account, no analytics backend, and no ads.

What the app reads

With your permission, Travelense reads two pieces of metadata from photos in your library:

It never reads, copies, uploads, or transmits the images themselves. Photos marked Hidden are excluded, and so are screenshots. You may grant access to your whole library or a selection; either way only the fields above are used.

Where it goes

Nowhere off your device for processing of your library. Grouping into stays and cities, trips, and statistics all run on your iPhone. Results are cached in the app’s private storage and are removed when you delete the app. You can clear them from ⋯ → Clear all saved data.

The one exception: place names

To turn coordinates into names like “Tokyo”, Travelense uses Apple’s built-in geocoding (CLGeocoder). That is a system service from Apple — the only time a coordinate may leave the device for naming.

  • Only a coordinate is sent — not a photo or your identity.
  • Groupe Tamara never receives that request and has no server that logs it.
  • Results are cached locally so the same place is not looked up repeatedly.

Data sharing and selling

None with the developer or advertisers. No tracking across apps for advertising. No sale of personal data.

Your rights

Rights under the GDPR and similar laws apply to personal data held by a controller. For library-derived travel data, Groupe Tamara holds none on its servers — it stays on your device. Erase it with in-app clear or by deleting the app. For support emails you send us, contact apps@groupe-tamara.com. In the EU you may also contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Children

Travelense collects no data from anyone, including children, on developer systems.

Changes

Updates will be published at this URL with a new date. Material changes may also appear in App Store release notes.
